Self-help gurus have all sorts of tips and tricks for managing stress. Some are good, many are too vague to be useful. I'm not a self-help guru. I don't have pat and pithy answers to perplexing problems. But, alliteration makes me smile, and anything that makes you smile is good for you. Like yesterday morning's sunrise:
Take a moment. Seize the moment. Focus solely on the moment. Live in the moment.
Because it will soon be gone and that moment will never, ever be duplicated for the rest of your life. Similar moments may occur, but each is unique and irreplaceable.
It's the little things that make the toughest days endurable.
15 minutes later the sky was filled with menacing gray clouds. Then it rained all day. But the memory of the sunrise made me smile.
